Priority Review
A transparent, paid visibility feature that places your application on a separate priority shortlist for the hiring team — without changing your merit score.
At a glance
- Your application is featured first on a separate priority shortlist the hiring team sees.
- One purchase covers this application and every application you send for 30 days. It does not renew.
- Your merit score and completeness ranking are completely unchanged.
- You gain access to application improvement suggestions based on what this role prioritizes.
- The hiring team is informed that your placement is sponsored. Full transparency, always.
- All sales are final — and we fix billing mistakes. Charged twice, or charged after cancelling? Send a change request and it's refunded automatically when our records show it.
How Priority Review works
When you activate Priority Review, your application is routed to a dedicated sponsored shortlist that hiring teams can review independently of the standard applicant queue. Your profile card is marked as a featured application so reviewers know your placement was sponsored — we never misrepresent your standing.
You must score above the 30th percentile among applicants for the same role to qualify. This threshold exists to protect hiring teams from low-signal submissions and to ensure the priority channel delivers real value to recruiters.
One purchase covers the application you buy it on and every application you send in the 30 days after it is paid. Each of those is placed on its own role's priority shortlist automatically, with nothing more to pay. Nothing renews: once the 30 days are up, a new application is covered only if you buy Priority Review again.
What Priority Review does not do
Priority Review is a visibility layer only. It does not:
- Alter your completeness score or any algorithmic ranking
- Move your application into the standard applicant list ahead of others
- Guarantee an interview, callback, or hiring decision
- Hide or suppress any other candidate's application
Every candidate on the standard list is evaluated on exactly the same criteria as before. Priority Review adds a separate channel — it does not tilt the existing one.
Application improvement suggestions
Once Priority Review is active, Amberrole unlocks a set of targeted suggestions specific to this role. These are derived from the structured profile data already on file and from the signals the hiring team has indicated matter most for the position — skills, certifications, portfolio evidence, and so on.
Suggestions are offered as guidance, not guarantees. Acting on them may increase your completeness score over time, but Priority Review itself is not contingent on making any changes.
How Amberrole keeps it fair
We built Priority Review around a strict set of principles:
- 1Full disclosure to hiring teams. Recruiters and hiring managers can always see which applications arrived through the sponsored channel. There is no concealed mixing with organic applicants.
- 2Eligibility threshold. Only candidates above the 30th percentile qualify. This keeps the priority channel credible and useful for hiring teams — and meaningful for you.
- 3One activation per application. You can activate Priority Review once for a given application. Repeated purchases on the same role are not permitted.
- 4Merit scoring is ring-fenced. The system that computes completeness scores, match scores, and percentile rankings has no connection to the payments layer. A purchase cannot influence any algorithmic output.
- 5Hiring teams opt in. Employers choose whether to enable the priority channel for a role when they list it. If a hiring team has not enabled it, Priority Review is not offered for that position.
What you’re paying for
Priority Review is a one-time, non-refundable fee per purchase. The price is shown on the payment form at the moment you check out, and you pay it once — there is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no ongoing card on file.
- Single charge, 30 days of applications. You pay once at checkout. The application you buy it on, and every application you send in the 30 days after the payment, are placed on the priority shortlist for their roles. There are no repeating charges of any kind.
- Card is retained only for chargeback and dispute handling. Your card details are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and permanently purged 60 days after the charge resolves, which covers the standard card-issuer dispute window.
- Boost add-ons are also one-time. Queue-boost purchases (moving your application to the top of the priority queue) and any resume-review add-ons are billed as separate one-time charges under the same terms.
- Nothing to cancel. Because there is no subscription, there is nothing to unsubscribe from. Each sponsored application stays on its role's priority shortlist until the hiring team finishes their review cycle, including after the 30 days have ended.
Where Priority Review is offered as a monthly subscription instead, the checkout says so before you enter a card and asks for a separate tick for the recurring charge — see Subscriptions and cancelling.
Pricing, refunds and change requests
The price shown on the payment form at checkout is the total you pay. There are no hidden fees. A one-time purchase has no auto-renewal and no future charges.
All sales are final, as our Refund & Cancellation Policy says. Priority Review delivers its value the moment your application is placed on the priority shortlist, so it is not refunded for a change of mind, an interview that didn't happen, a role the employer closed afterwards, or time you didn't use.
We always fix our own mistakes. A duplicate charge, a subscription charge made after you cancelled, and Priority Review that never turned on are refunded — automatically, in seconds, when our records show them. Send a change request with your receipt number (every receipt has a Request a change link). A different amount, a charge you don't recognise, and anything else are answered by a person within two business days; nothing is declined automatically.
A full refund ends the Priority Review it paid for, including the applications its 30 days covered — except a refunded duplicate, which takes nothing away: the charge that stands still covers you. Card refunds usually show on your statement in 5–10 business days.
Bought under the earlier terms, before October 21, 2026? Your purchase keeps the refund window its checkout and receipt showed; inside it, a change request (“I'd like a refund for another reason”) refunds it automatically.
Subscriptions and cancelling
Priority Review is sold as a one-time, 30-day purchase. Where it is offered as a monthly subscription instead — and for subscriptions bought under earlier terms — these rules apply:
- You see the terms before the card. The checkout shows the monthly price, the first charge, that it renews on the same date every month until you cancel, how to cancel and the date to cancel by to avoid the next charge.
- It starts only with its own tick. A separate box, unticked until you tick it, authorises the recurring charge. We keep that sentence with the time and IP address on your subscription and receipt, and e-mail you the terms.
- Cancel anytime, in one click — from your subscription page, or with the one-click link we e-mail you from /help/cancel-subscription if you can't sign in. No call, no waiting period, no reason needed, including before your first charge.
- What cancelling does: every future charge stops and the card we hold is deleted at once; Priority Review stays on until the end of the month you paid for; a charge already authorised before you cancelled still completes and is the last; payments already made are not refunded or prorated. You get a confirmation e-mail.
- Locked price. Your monthly price never rises while you stay subscribed.
The full terms are in the Subscriber Agreement.
Your account and managing your services
Buying Priority Review creates a Amberrole account under the e-mail you use at checkout, or adds the purchase to the account you already have. There you'll find your purchases and receipts, your subscription (if you have one), and which applications have Priority Review.
Forgot your password? Reset it at /applicant/forgot-password with the resume file you applied with, or answer a few questions about your applications. Still stuck? Send a change request — “I can't get into my account”. Everything else about billing is in the billing help centre.
Terms of Service
By purchasing Priority Review (or any Priority Review boost / add-on) you agree that:
- Priority Review is a one-time, non-refundable fee at the price shown on the payment form at checkout. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no auto-renewal — unless the checkout says it is a monthly subscription, in which case the Subscriber Agreement applies and the subscription starts only with your separate tick for the recurring charge.
- One purchase covers the application it is bought on and every application you submit in the 30 days after the payment is received. Applications submitted after those 30 days are not covered unless you purchase Priority Review again. A covered application stays on its role's priority shortlist through the hiring team's review cycle for that role.
- The charge appears on your card statement once, on or within one business day of the checkout timestamp shown on your receipt.
- Boost and add-on purchases — queue boosts, resume reviews, expedited turnaround, and any other Priority Review add-on — are also one-time, non-refundable charges billed under these same terms.
- Charges are non-refundable under the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which the agreement you tick names. The service is rendered at the moment of activation. Billing mistakes — a duplicate charge, a charge after cancelling, an activation that failed because of a technical error on our side — are refunded in full through a change request, automatically when our records show them. A full refund ends the Priority Review it paid for, including the applications its 30 days covered.
- A monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time online, in one click, from your account or with the link we e-mail you. Cancelling stops all future charges at once; Priority Review stays on until the end of the month you paid for; payments already made are not refunded.
- Your card details are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and permanently purged 60 days after the charge resolves. This retention window exists solely to allow us to respond to card-issuer disputes and chargebacks; no card data is retained beyond that window.
- Priority Review is a visibility feature and does not constitute a guarantee of any interview, callback, offer, or other employment outcome.
- Your sponsored status will be disclosed to the hiring team reviewing your application.
- You must meet the eligibility threshold (above the 30th percentile among applicants for the same role) to qualify. Amberrole reserves the right to refund and void activations that do not meet eligibility requirements.
- Amberrole may modify or discontinue the Priority Review feature at any time. Activations already paid for will be honored through the hiring team's current review cycle for that role.
- At the moment of purchase we record the IP address, browser user-agent, billing address, and the exact text of the agreement you ticked (and, for a subscription, of the recurring-charge tick). This authorization record is preserved on your receipt for the full card-issuer dispute window.
These terms apply to Priority Review specifically. Amberrole's full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply.
