1. Summary
This Subscriber Agreement governs the Priority Review subscription for applicants on Amberrole. It is a separate document from the Terms of Service, which govern employer accounts. Where the two conflict on anything to do with your subscription, this document controls.
You are a consumer buying a recurring service. Nothing in this agreement removes a right you have under consumer law in the place you live, and where a term here is unenforceable there, it does not apply to you.
2. What Priority Review Is
While your subscription is active, applications you submit to qualifying roles are flagged for Priority Review automatically. You do not need to re-purchase or select the option again on each application.
3. Enrolling and What You Authorise
You enrol by choosing Priority Review during an application and entering a payment card. Before you enter the card, the checkout shows the subscription's terms: the monthly price, the first charge, that it renews on the same date every month until you cancel, how to cancel, and the date to cancel by to avoid the next charge.
The subscription starts only if you tick a separate box — unticked until you tick it — that says, in words: “Yes, start my monthly Priority Review subscription. I authorize Amberrole to charge my card [the monthly price] for the first month and [the monthly price] every month after, on the same date, until I cancel.” By ticking it you authorise those charges. We keep that sentence, with the time and the IP address it was ticked from, on your subscription and your receipt, and e-mail you the terms with your receipt.
- The price is shown before you enter your card, and the amount charged is the amount shown.
- The subscription renews monthly until cancelled. It does not expire on its own.
- You must be the cardholder, or have the cardholder's permission to use the card.
4. Price and Price Lock
The monthly price agreed when you enrol is fixed for the life of that subscription. We do not raise it. If we change pricing for new subscribers, your price is unaffected for as long as your subscription stays active.
If you cancel and later subscribe again, the new subscription is at the price offered at that time, which may be higher or lower.
5. How and When You Are Charged
Charges are made to the card you provided, on a monthly cycle starting from the date you enrolled — on the same date each month (on the last day of a shorter month). Your subscription page shows the date of the next scheduled charge and every charge already made, each with its receipt.
Charges appear on your statement as SOURCEHIRE*OFFERROLE (our former name). If you do not recognise a charge, the helpline for billing questions is 650-603-3305.
Some charges are processed manually by our team rather than automatically. This means the date a charge reaches your statement may be a little later than the scheduled date shown. The amount does not change.
6. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, including before your first charge has been processed:
- from your subscription page (Cancel subscription, then confirm) — one click and one confirmation;
- without signing in, from the one-click link we e-mail to the address on your subscription when you ask at /help/cancel-subscription (it works once, for 72 hours);
- or with a change request.
Cancelling takes effect immediately. You do not have to contact anyone, give a reason, or answer a retention offer. Priority Review keeps covering your new applications until the end of the month you already paid for, and then ends. We e-mail you a confirmation, whichever way you cancel.
Cancelling stops future charges. It does not by itself refund a charge already made — see the next section.
Every receipt and confirmation e-mail for your subscription links to the ways to cancel.
7. Refunds
Refunds follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy. In short: payments already made are not refunded or prorated — cancelling stops future charges rather than reversing past ones — and billing mistakes are always fixed.
If you believe a charge was made in error — a charge after you cancelled, a duplicate, an amount that does not match what you were shown, or a charge you did not authorise — send a change request. A charge made after your cancellation, and a duplicate charge, are refunded automatically when our records show them; a person answers anything else within two business days.
8. Failed Payments
If a monthly charge fails — an expired card, insufficient funds, or a decline by your bank — the subscription is marked past due. We may attempt the charge again. Priority Review may stop applying to new applications while a subscription is past due. You can cancel a past-due subscription the same way as an active one, and nothing more will be charged.
We will not add fees or interest to a failed payment.
9. Your Card Details
Your card is stored encrypted so the monthly charge can be made. We do not display the full number back to you or to our staff; the subscription page shows only the last four digits and the expiry.
- When you cancel, the stored card for that subscription is deleted immediately.
- Card details held against an individual payment are deleted on a retention schedule after that payment is processed.
- If you tell us to stop charging a card, we record that instruction against the card and your email address, and it blocks future charges even if the card is entered again later.
10. Changes to This Agreement
If we change this agreement, the version number and effective date at the top of this page change with it, and previous versions remain available.
A change that affects what you pay, when you are charged, or how you cancel does not apply to you unless you accept it. If you subscribed under an earlier version, you stay on that version until you affirmatively accept the new one. Declining does not cancel your subscription and does not change your price.
Applicants who subscribed before this document was first published are governed by the terms disclosed to them in the purchase flow at the time they enrolled, and are asked to accept version 1.0 at their next sign-in.
Version 1.1 adds the separate tick for the recurring charge at enrolment, the e-mailed one-click cancel link, Priority Review to the end of the month you paid for after cancelling, and the Refund & Cancellation Policy. None of it changes what you pay or when you are charged, and every change makes cancelling easier, so it applies to existing subscriptions from its effective date.
If you subscribed on or before 14 July 2026, those are the subscription-era terms, kept available at /help/priority-review/v1. Your payment receipts link to the same page, so the terms you see are always the ones in force when you paid.
11. Questions, Disputes and Chargebacks
If something about a charge looks wrong, please send us a change request first, or call 650-603-3305. We would rather fix a billing mistake directly than have you spend time disputing it with your bank, and you are more likely to get a faster answer from us.
Contacting us is not a precondition to exercising any right you have with your card issuer. You can raise a dispute with your bank at any time.
Dispute resolution, including arbitration and any applicable exceptions and opt-out rights, is described in the Arbitration Agreement and in §21 of the Terms of Service.
12. Keep Priority Review On (Every 30 Days)
Priority Review is sold as a 30-day pass: one payment, and every application you send in the next 30 days has it. Nothing renews unless you choose to. Right after you pay, you may choose to keep it on: it then renews every 30 days, at the price you just paid, until you cancel. Sections 1 to 11 apply to this plan as they apply to a monthly subscription, except where this section says otherwise.
Choosing it. It starts only if you tick a separate box — unticked until you tick it — whose words name the amount, how it is paid and where to cancel: “Yes, keep my Priority Review on. I authorize Amberrole to charge my [card] [the price] every 30 days, starting when my current 30 days end, until I cancel. I can cancel anytime in my account under Subscription.” We keep those words, with the time and the IP address they were ticked from, on your plan, and e-mail you the terms straight away. Not choosing it changes nothing about the pass you bought.
- Price. Each renewal is the price you paid for the pass, locked for as long as the plan stays on (section 4).
- When. The first renewal is due when your current 30 days end, and each one after when the 30 days it paid for end.
- How it is paid. If you saved your card at checkout with our card processor (Square or Stripe), that card is charged on the due date. Otherwise we e-mail you a secure payment link for each renewal, and Priority Review continues when you pay it. We never keep your card number ourselves for this plan.
- Reminder. We e-mail you 3 days before every renewal with the amount, the date, how it will be paid, and one-click ways to cancel.
- Coverage. Priority Review covers your new applications only through the 30 days that are paid. A renewal paid late still gives you a full 30 days from the day it is paid.
If a renewal is not paid. If the charge to your card is declined, we try it once more 3 days later; if that is declined too — or straight away when your bank asks to confirm the payment with you — we e-mail you a secure payment link instead. Until the renewal is paid, Priority Review pauses for your new applications, and your account says so. If it is still unpaid 14 days after its due date, the plan ends, nothing more is charged, and any payment link we sent for it stops working. We never add fees or interest.
Cancelling. Cancel at any time, in one click, the ways section 6 describes. Priority Review then stays on until the end of the 30 days you already paid for, and nothing more is charged — we remove the saved card from the plan and withdraw any open payment link. Payments already made are not refunded; billing mistakes are fixed (section 7).
